Old Jewish Cemetery at Night: Prague
No, I did not break into the cemetery at night. There is actually a hole in the wall surrounding the cemetery that I noticed people looking through. This is what you see when you look through that hole in the wall. I went easy on lightening up the photo...just enough so you can see that it is a cemetery. That is the way it looked like, and this is pretty close to what the experience was like.

Thames Flood Barrier
The Thames
Flood Barrier protects London and points upriver
from the devastating floods that would otherwise periodically
damage the region.
This is a very necessary modern marvel.
Here is a list
of dates when
the Barrier had to be slammed shut—although very slowly.

"So, taking advantage of their newfound
fame, GWAR puts on shows to which their fans flock.
They murder and mutilate these fans, show after show, until enough

Two Architectural Controversies
1.) The building in the middle which
is shaped like a futuristic pineapple/pickle is 30
St. Mary Axe.
A lot of people in London do not like this building, but I think
it is great. If they don't
want it, they can ship it across the Atlantic and stick it in
my town.
2.) To the left, you can see what appears
to be some sort of industrial structure. In fact, this is
the Lloyds
of London Building. Many people in London also dislike this building,
and I can't say
that I am too fond of it myself. It does look beautiful from
a distance at night though. This is when it
is floodlit with colored lights. But once you come close to the
building, even the lighting can not help
make this jumble of metal look good. At least give them credit
for trying something new.
Candor is a compliment;
it implies equality.
