The Medici Fountain (fr: La fontaine Médicis) is a monumental fountain in the Jardin du Luxembourg in the 6th arrondissement in Paris. It was built in about 1630 by Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV of France and regent of King Louis XIII of France. It was moved to its present location and extensively rebuilt in 1864-66. Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac designed by American architect Bruce Price is a grand hotel in Quebec City, Canada. Designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1980. Prior to the hotel, the site was occupied by the Chateau Haldimand, residence of the British colonial governors of Lower Canada and Quebec. Frontenac opened in 1893, five years after the Banff Springs Hotel, which was owned by the same company, Canadian Pacific Railway company. The Frontenac was named after Louis de Buade, Count of Frontenac, who was a former governor of the colony of New France.
