Megyn Kelly
Megyn Kelly is a general assignment reporter for FOX
News Channel (FNC). She is based in
Washington, D.C., and joined FNC in 2004. In early 2006, Kelly
provided extensive coverage of the confirmation hearings for the nomination
of Samuel A. Alito Jr., as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Prior to that, she reported on the retirement of Justice Sandra
Day O’Connor from the U.S. Supreme Court
as well as on the Terri Schiavo case, the indictment of Scooter
Libby, the death of William Rehnquist, and the legal troubles of former House
Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
Before joining FNC, Kelly served as a legal and general assignment
reporter for Washington, D.C.
ABC News affiliate WJLA-TV. During her tenure at WJLA, Kelly
covered national and local cases of
interest as well as legal issues, including the rape shield law,
Megan’s law, and the juvenile death
penalty. Previously, Kelly practiced law as corporate litigator.
Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science
from Syracuse University, and a J.D.
from Albany Law School, where she also served as editor of the
Albany Law Review.
